“The site clearance includes the landscaping of the groundwork at the front door of the founders house. As this building is a listed building, JH Lavender fully cooperate with the local council to protect its original integrity and protect the building to a high standard.”

Project update 9th March 2011

“Archaeologist Fiona Keith-Lucas confirms that the uncovered flooring is a genuine Sheep-Bone floor, the bones have been individually removed. Today two early Victorian walls are uncovered. A watching brief will be maintained during the construction stage, and the archaeological report will be posted in a post-medieval publication..”

Project update 8th March 2011

“The archaeologists continue to excavate and have begun to uncover stone walls and bone flooring possibly dating back to the late 1700’s or early 1800’s. Further analysis will be undertake at their laboratories to determine a more exact date.”
